Your Questions, Answered.
What is a snuffle mat, and why would my cat use one?
A snuffle mat is a soft, fleece-like surface with folds and layers where you can hide treats or dry food. It encourages your cat to use their nose and paws to forage — satisfying their natural hunting instincts while offering mental stimulation and stress relief.
Can I use the snuffle mat for feeding meals?
Absolutely! It’s purr-fect for slowing down fast eaters. Just sprinkle treats or dry kibble throughout the mat to make mealtime more engaging and less rushed.
How do I clean the snuffle mat?
Give it a good shake outside to remove crumbs and debris. For a deeper clean, we recommend gentle handwashing in cold water with mild detergent. Reshape and air dry flat.
Are these suitable for all cats?
Yes! Our snuffle mats are made from 100% New Zealand wool and dyed with azo-free, non-toxic dyes - safe for both pets and little humans. As always, supervise younger kittens during play.
Will it fit inside my Pryde Pets felt cat basket?
Yes! The snuffle mat fits snugly into our 40cm cat baskets, turning them into a cosy, foraging-friendly nest.
AnaI put a treat inside and my cat got crazy. Spent hours taking it out. Excellent product.
